But when I get it I saw that the smartphone came in a T-Mobile box and it wasn't unlocked. It must be full white it isn't. The back cover is black color. This is really disappointment.

My Wife loved her old flip phone, but it finally died. I talked her into this phone as it works with her prepaid account on T-Mobile, and she can use Wi-Fi for data, She really likes it, it is easy to use and just works. She tried an android phone a while back and did not like it. Nokia generally makes good phones.

Note that it takes the newer micro SIM chip. You may need to buy one like we did. Activation was easy, however, a 5 minute call to T-Mobile support and we were done.

The phone also has 8 GB of memory and there is no slot to add more. This is not a problem for her, she has not even used half the memory with several apps/games, some pictures, and some music.

Fits Nokia 520 well. Not too bulky... still fits in "Nokia Lumia 521 Black Horizontal Case Pouch." Fosmon case makes phone easier to hold. Buttons are slightly harder to press with case, but not a problem. At $3.97 it is reasonably priced. Have been using case for over a month and it still looks like new. Purchased a second case for a family member who is happy with it as well. Shipping was prompt in both cases.

The first time I got it I immediately returned it because it was not unlocked. But the seller has a code to unlock it so it worked out well in the end. No problems with the phone about a week in. If you like the windows market, you'll like this phone. Although its somewhat basic, lacking higher end features like a front-facing camera, back camera of lower quality, if that isn't a problem then I would highly recommend this phone. Its very solid and feels good in the hand. Look into investing for a phone case because the front is flat (if you place your phone upside down then the entire screen will be in contact with the table) and can be a little slick at times.

Thru the years I found Nokia to make some of the best phones and this one is not an exception. I bought it because it is a 4 band (world) unlocked GSM, very light and small indeed, full touchscreen, responsive, quick and accurate typing, overall the phone works fast, has a bit slow GPS (when not assisted) with free maps and nice voice navigation, good WiFi, working radio, good loud speaker and call quality, decent email (old style) and normal camera, also the battery supposed to last longer. Overall, it does well what it supposed to do for the price of $180. There is one important thing, the US model has UMTS (3G bands) 900/1900/2100, so the 1900 works with AT&T, but no 850 AT&T or 1700 T-mobile. Strange, but the box label and some of the Amazon description are both wrong as they show 1700. I confirmed that with Nokia as well and the phone is working fast on AT&T 3G on 1900. The phone is made in Mexico, that's fine. It has the plastic look, but it is the simple clean design and the cute shape that makes it look neat too. I am not sure why there is no variety of colors on the US market like elsewhere, that is rather frustrating. The operating system is the typical Nokia, no news there.

It is a telephone, compact but heavy, that gives a strength sensation him. All the applications that unload of OVI, in their majority are gratuitous and allows to improve the applications of the telephone.

I have compared it with the N8 and the only difference this in the pixels of the camera that in the N8 is of 12 and in the C6-01 is of 8.

I recommend it to the 100%.

To be honest this is not the best phone ever, there are many better phones out there, however if you take into account its price it justifies the 5 stars I gave to this review.

Name 3 phones that cost less than $200 that actually comes with a 5m.p. camera and with GPS. Besides it has a very hot design. At least this is my opinion.

It looks great, it feels solid not as usually cheap phones feel like, the touch captative system is very smooth and works quite well (similar to the Nokia N8), the pictures looks great to be honest. Imagine all those features for only 200 bucks. It's totally worthy.

Name 3 phones with better features that actually cost less than 200 bucks? Let's make this a challenge :)

Besides, this is a great music device: you can listen to your own MP3s and also to FM radio stations (it will even display song titles in radio!). Quick, stable and well thought-through. Have been looking for ways to extend battery life for my beloved HTC Thunderbolt with its sadly shortlived battery. (Amazing that a device designed to do so many things, plus doing them over the further battery consuming Verizon 4LTE network - can't be depended on to last long enough - I can actually watch my battery meter draining down minute by minute!) Have tried all the recommendations over tech forums for extending battery life, have tried various apps - nothing works. Have an extra charged battery at all times, but highly inconvenient to have to change out - usually in the middle of something important. NOW, finally, I have the Anker8400 model. I reviewed all the portable battery chargers, including the various Anker models, and decided on this one because of its capabilities for repeated smartphone recharges and the fact I could continue to use my Thunderbolt while it was being charged. The Anker is very easy to figure out (even with written directions in Chinese which I don't read) simple to use, a whole aray of adapters, (Also bought 6ft long USB to Micro cable, so as not to be limited when charging the Anker8400 with its short connector.) Only drawbacks for me, even with its sleek relatively compact form factor, is its size & weight. When I have used the 8400 more, I'll update here - maybe will be able to give a full 5 stars.

This has been my favorite Windows Phone, that I have owned. I've owned the HTC Arrive, Samsung Focus Flash, Dell Venue Pro, HTC Titan, and the Lumia 800. The best part of this phone are the awesome apps that Nokia provides, exclusively for these devices. None of the other OEMs come close to supporting their product this way (heck this phone already runs the Tango update, unlike any of the other WP7 devices).

If you are going to get a Windows Phone, get a Nokia. They are fully invested in the platform, and offer a rich experience with their apps. Also, the camera is really good, not quite as good as the Titan's camera, but almost as good...definitely better than any other WP7 device.

The manufacturer of this phone is making a comeback and look forward to their new Windows phone releases. Windows marketplace is good and growing. Reliable apps and certified so you aren't downloading potential malware. I was going to wait for the Windows phone 8, but glad I got this one in the meantime.

That phone was awful. This phone was more than I really could afford - but I am so glad I got it. I am not tech great, it will do much more than I will make it do .It comes with new sim and I called TMobile(who was already my carrier) and it was up and going in ten minutes. Now I can at least deal with the plan I was locked into for the remainder of time on contract. The phone cost me about the same as the contract buyout, so I am ok.

I have to say spending so much money on a phone made me nervous, but I have to say having an unlocked GSM phone was great. I was traveling outside the country and my provider uses CDMA, so I needed a way to stay in touch with family and friends in case of emergency. I picked up this phone and the MOBAL sim card deal that Amazon has, and I am very pleased with the combo. I also have the slingbox and when I bought the phone they just released a mobile player for it for the symbian OS. The phone worked like a champ.

The good things are having this phone, I had a way to take photos without having to carry another camera with me when I just wanted to walk on the beach. The only bad thing about the phone and the reason I gave a 4 out of 5 stars is that the battery is weak. It only lasts about 2 days without the need of a recharge. Other than that, it is an amazing phone.

Used the camera on night events and the flash will a good job..calendar, alarm settings, Office documents, movie device and music jukebox...just have in mind that if you use a heavily your multimedia options(video specially) the battery will only last for a day if not it will last for 2 days...wich was pretty much the same as my old Nokia e50.

Yeah...the iPhone surely looks nice, but you don't have all the stuff that comes with this one. It's a must for every user thats wants to have it all in one device.

Same size as iPhone 4 (my wife has iPhone 4), but comes unlocked and for half the price. With Windows Phone gaining apps everyday, this is a steal at the price. 512 MB of RAM is great. Although I experience some freezes sometimes when too many apps are open, the phone is awesome including battery life.

I'm really happy I bought it, this is just an excellent phone with lots of good things to like: it's fast, Nokia HW quality, good battery life (can't expect a lot more if I browse the Internet, listen to music and play a lot with it... ;-) ), granted ovi store does not have as many apps as android but it's actually ok, call quality is excellent, the screen is unbelievable, very clear both outdoors and indoors; 8MP camera.... It feels solid in your hand, like it will last forever; and again, it just looks great!!

Waited for a compact smart phone that fits in the palm and in the pocket, with a stand alone GPS (Works without Data Plan) and i was happy to buy the c6-01. Though there is a delay in getting the Satellite connection, the map works very well once the connection is established (though there are some errors like in some places it asks you stay on the left and take exit from the freeway, while you have to stay on the right actually). The other features like synch, backup are good and even the APPs are ok ( I am not a gamer). The camera is reasonably good. Even the upgrade to Belle was smooth and Belle looks better. All these positives are neutralized by the single problem of the phone hanging often (Freezes and no keys work) and I have to remove the battery to reset / restart to get the phone working. This happened with all three operating system (This came with Symbian 3 and i updated to Anna and latter to Belle). The battery life too short.

I wouldn't recommend this phone to anybody though the price is little less compared to other smart phones.

Pros: The phone feels great. It's heavy, but that's because it's really solid construction. The navigation works well. There are more apps than expected in the OVI store.
Cons: It's processor seems slower than other smart phones I've seen. It's also somewhat buggy and becomes unresponsive once or twice a day.
I think I'm going to return it and get something else.

This phone arrived only 7 days after ordering it and was super easy to set up the two sims with very easy and clear setup to divide the tasks between the two. So far I am very impressed with the quality and the fact that it comes with a very nice screen protector already installed! The phone is bright and fast and the resolution is as good as my previous Galaxy S-2 with a much bigger screen on this one! I am very happy with the initial inspection and testing and especially happy with the included cover, extra battery, and easy to follow instructions. It is also cool that you can use GPS or Glonass (Russian version of GPS) with the phone although I have not tested that functionality out yet. All-in-all, it is a great phone if you want a large screen phone/internet device at a very nice price and without the contract!

This phone is awesome. came pretty fast with super saver shipping. the phone itself is great. its super sleek and sexy. slimmer than any other smartphone out there that ive seen. all my friends that have blackberry phones are mezmerized by the nokia e71 when i pull it out and ask to see it. i'm always receiving compliments on it. it is easy to use and battery life is good. its not cheaply made. the frame is solid and durable. the battery cover is securely attached and will not come off with the battery if you drop it. (has 2 latches on either side u have to press to release) so thats kinda cool too. (tho u shouldn't be dropping phones lol) my only gripe with this phone is that it does not have threaded messaging. However there is a program you can download called "conversations" that will thread your messages, however its still not up to par on that regard. but definitely not a deal breaker. one other area of concern is the camera. in low light situations the photo comes out grainy (tho it has a flash). however in bright light areas the pictures come out amazing. so i'm not sure if i got a lemon but its something i can live with regardless. the wifi conect is super easy too. calls sound clear. speaker is loud and clear. I got this phone for $230 which is not bad considering the cost of smartphones out of contract at the stores. so i would recommend this phone to anyone thinking of picking this up. treat yourself!

This phone is an encredible piece of engineering. its so small, solid and slim. the OS is lightening fast with ZERO lag or delay. the GPS gets a full satellite lock in 15 seconds every single time. Garmin runs fantastic. the symbian OS is super stable. the keypad has perfect tactile feedback and i can type one handed on this qwerty phone.

one of the reviews on here didnt mention the e71 ONCE. it talked about his old e62 and how he didnt like it, and somehow that was relevant to the e71. not one mention of the e71. so yeah, maybe those type of people who have no analytical skills should be pre-screened before being allowed to write a review or interact with the rest of civilization.

i highly recommend this phone! its better than the BB Bold hands down, unless you need the BB email. otherwise, the e71 is the better choice. much smaller, s60 web browser is the best on the market, period, and the s60 OS is mature and stable and has tons of applications. nokia hit a home run with this phone.

Totally worth it.. Graphics are too good and 3-D sound quality is awesome. There is some lag in starting applications (eg: Yahoo Go!) but it is not significant given the size of certain applications. Fun to play Fifa on it... visit n81 blogs for more... dont pay extra for brown color.. it is hardly visible.. the black face plate is stunning...battery life is good too.. needs charging after 3-4 days of use...

I bought this phone for one reason to replace my damaged Nokia 6682. So far i'm very pleased with the phone. Everything works well. There are a couple of things that i don't like about it though. The back of the phone once opened didn't fit back perfectly and therefore feels inferior. The navi wheel doesn't work with alot of function and when it use sometimes gets in the way. I'll say its a very good phone for the price and the features it have. it multitasks well. not locking at all so far. camera could be better thought.

In the meantime, they had the UPS guys show up and ask for the item to be shipped back.. Thie is the first defective supply I have received from Amazon. If, as others have stated, the item is not covered by US warranty, Amazon may be making false claims that are not backed up by facts on the ground. Need to investigate further and will keep you posted.

I've had this phone for a couple of years through work as do several of my coworkers so I've gotten to know it fairly well.

I would NOT recommend one to anyone. The user interface (UI) is awful.

The full keyboard is reasonably usable, call quality and battery life are fine but the UI is so bad you just don't want to pick the phone up.

Perhaps that's what my employer was going for: give people such awful phones they don't want to use them.

Full disclosure: I've owned BlackBerries and Apple iPhones so perhaps I'm a bit spoiled as to what a UI should be.

This phone has the biggest keys of any device that I've seen, but is also one of the smallest available. A non-touch screen, it uniquely fills the bill for exactly what I wanted.

I just bought one a week ago. The main motivation was the camera. I do have already an excellent digital camera, but it's something I don't always carry with me. I hope to get more pictures of ordinary life, not just holidays. The camera appeared to be quite decent, and fits well for the purpose. However I miss optical zoom a bit. As a whole the phone is better than I expected, especially after all the bad reviews I have read. The UI is not as responsive as in iPod (iPhone I do not have) but I manage well with it.

I really like the camera features they packed into the N8. Instead of repeating them, I think you can read the specs for yourself. I found the pictures the N8 takes very high quality - almost at Digital Still Camera quality. The Xenon flash is also a very good addition for low light photography.

Nokia more than did this one right but since I am not a very technical person, this is just a basic review. I've had the phone for about 3 weeks now and am loving it. I have to agree with many in that one of the best selling points of this phone besides the great physical build and the killer 12 megapixel camera (which takes astounding pictures)is that it is unlocked. I switched from the 5800 Xpress Music and there is definitely a big difference but being that it is still a symbian system I haven't ran into anything that was too hard for me to figure out by myself, music sounds great and call quality is great as well. I added a 16gb memory card on top of what the phone comes with (16gb) so I'm more than happy with enough memory for whatever comes my way. If you are a simple person looking for a great phone with features galore(unlocked, fm transmitter, bluetooth 3.0,Dolby surround sound, tethering, USB port...) and it gives you the freedom to do things that operator branded phones don't then you'll love this phone. I know I do! (This is an edit of a previous review)

I just got the phone yesterday and let me tell you it is amazing. I am coming from a iphone 2g so it does take a little while to get used to the touch screen but once you do it is way better then the iphone. The screen is the best I have seen almost looks like a AMOLED screen. The Camera is very good takes amazing pictures, and video. The keyboard is very good and easy to get use to. The phone has a 2.1 speaker system that sounds amazing for a phone, very clear and amazing quality. I had a issue with hearing or feeling my iphone ring or vibrate and this phone is far better I can hear and feel when I receive a call or a text 10 times better then the iphone. I really enjoy the widgets I just cant wait until more are made for the device. The phone is very smooth in transitions, and does not get laggy while listening to music and web browsing at the same time at all for me. The internet is by far the best on a phone I have seen. My T-mobile service is far better then what I had on a iphone there is no comparison at all. I cant say anything but good things about this phone if you get one you will never regret it this phone is well worth the wait to get one. Nokia did a amazing job on this phone all they need to do is have someone develop new widgets and come out with the ovi app store and the phone will be unstoppable.

This Phone is actually the replacement for my iPhone 3G, it's superior in social netwoking, call clarity, and free space, along with some other cool features built in like a forward facing camera for video calls on skype, and auto integration of contacts from facebook. But because of poor sync support for vista, lack of applications, limited battery life, and some what glitchy software, this phone isn't all it could be. Don't get me wrong, this phone is highly versatile (although complicated to use at times) with the small ammount of apps that it has-

I got this phone for my wife and so far she really likes it, it is easy to use, stylish, has many features, very good reception (our provider is att) & the battery life is very good as well. It is not a smartphone but it has a very good browser with excellent wifi access, internet radio etc and it does an excellent job in features that I usually use in my Sony Xperia ion smartphone with a price much less than a classic smartphone.

As the owner of Lumia 710 I wanted an upgrade to the newer operating system, and a little more modern look. The only negative for me is the fact that the battery is not replaceable. I since have found several vendors who will replace my battery when the time comes . This is the same as Iphones and Ipods. I don't know why I hesitated. The battery life is very good. I can go 2 days with moderate usage. that compares to 1 day for the Lumia 710. I still hve the Lumia 710 and sometimes I use it as a radio in the workshop. My wife uses hers (unlocked). When I use hers, sometimes I wonder why I ever changed. I guess I'm just a Lumia fan.

This is a great very basic smart phone. The phone quality is very good. I live in a remote area and receive good reception.
The sound quality is very good, and it is easy to hear and to talk even in a noisy environment. Good phone and good value.

The item described is not the item I got..... An internacional version doesn't mean European version... yes.... that's what I got, a Nokia Asha 311 european version, no portuguese, no spanish options. I escalated this problem to hasslefree cellphones (is it really hassle free?..) they came back giving me some directions to download a real international software version, when I followed their recommendation, in the middle of the installation, the cellphone died.... When I went back to the vendor, they said the 30 day return policy was expired... No money back, no cellphone that works.... I honestly feel bad, I don't recommend this vendor to anybody.....

- Inexpensive compared to smart phones
- Good set of basic features
- Smaller size than IMO bulky smart phones
The cons:
- GSM in my area has inferior coverage to CDMA. Using this GSM phone gives inferior coverage compared to CDMA phone.
- Phone software has a few bugs - occasionally screen blanks, then returns.
- While I've used Nokias for years, this phone's screens are less user-friendly/intuitive than Nokia's older phones

the screen basically gets a mind of its own sometimes and starts selecting/touching stuff on the display by itself. It started out pretty random - was typing a text message and it started to type gibberish. This went on and off for a while - until it completely bricked last night.

I used to love Nokia- had a few of them while growing up but this is a huge disappointment. My old HTC Titan ran for 2 years without any major problems..:(

I am completely blown away by this phone. More than what I was expecting in a phone. The only thing I am having a bit of an issue with is the music sync. It could be me but I am pretty computer savy so I doubt it. I synced my music to the phone from windows media center and when I try to play a song it says the phone does not play this file format. I checked with the guidelines and the phone support and it says it does. so there is clearly something wrong. Because wmc files are support for this phone. I am sure it will get resolved. I am a huge music lover and I have a large extensive music collection. I would be more than disappointed if this does not get resolved. Needless to say microsoft hit a home run on every other aspect of this phone. It is more like a computer experience than a phone. So .99 percent blown away by this phone. All other applications worked flawlessly. It has online and offline sync you just need to configure it. Both Microsoft and Nokia have downloads for this. Can't express how much I like it simply blown away.

The OS on this phone is quite good. I used it via WiFi and preferred it to my iPhone. Unfortunately, the item was misrepresented as being unlocked. As this was a gift for my wife and it took some time to figure out the phone was locked, the 14 day return period expired. Neither Amazon nor the seller would accept responsibility for misrepresenting the product. Although the product description has now been changed to note that it is locked, it suggests that you can ask AT&T to unlock. This is technically true, you can ask. Of course, the answer will be no. If you choose, as they suggest, to have a third party unlock it for you, you will be breaking the law. So...Amazon and their sellers are still misrepresenting the product.

I would give the phone four or five stars. As for using Amazon marketplace sellers and trusting Amazon A to Z Guarantee, I can't speak more lowly of my experience. It has truly tarnished my view of Amazon as a company. Standing behind the fine print on what, to me, is an obvious case of false advertising is about as low a standard as I can imagine. That this phone is still misadvertised is only further proof that Amazon's quality control in relation to its marketplace sellers is very low. Buyers beware.
